Report:
Department of Malayalam in Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies on behalf of Kerala Piravi, organised a week celebration on Malayalam language from Nov 1 to 8 2020. We conducted Inter-departmental competition on Naadan Paattu via online mode.
Each department were asked to make a team consisting of 5-7 members and record a video of them singing for seven minutes. A national level Essay competition on the topic “Desheeya vidhyaabhyaasa nayam 2020: saamoohya pariprekshyavum idapedalukalum” and Versification competition on the topic “On-line” were conducted. It should be sent to the department mail on or before 8th November.

The First prize was given to Commerce Department, the members were Abel Christy George (2nd B.Com Finnance A), Abhijith A (2nd B.Com Finnance A), Jaideep R Pisharady (2nd B.Com Finnance A), Aathira P.M (2nd B.Com Finnance A), Nithya Das H (2nd B.Com Finnance), Sivani S (1ST B.Com CA).
The Second Prize was won by BBA Department, the members were Chinnu M (2nd BBA), Gopika S (2nd BBA), Athira E.M (2nd BBA), Anisha T (2nd BBA), Rithu P (2nd BBA), Sreerag L (1St BBA).
The Third prize was given to Mathematics Department, the members were Kavya Arun (3rd Maths), Poornima Anandh (3rd Maths), Poornima Menon (2nd Maths), Uthara U (2nd Maths), Arathi R (2nd Maths).
The winners for the Essay competition are:
The First prize was given to Arya Mohan, M.A English, School of Letters, MG University.
Second Prize was won by Alexander Joy, M.Sc Hydro Chemistry, Department of Chemical Oceanography, CUSAT.
Third Prize was given to Archana Indira Sankar, Research scholar, Department of Mathematics, NISER Bhuvaneswar, Orrissa.
The winners for the Versification are:
The first prize was given to Vaishnavi R.J, M.A Malayalam, NSS college, Nilamel, Kollam.
Second prize was given to Chinnu M, 2nd year BBA, YIMS.
Third prize was given to Varadha P.T, 3rd B.Sc Mathematics, TMG Govt. college Tirur.
The programme was a grand success.
