The Department of Psychology, Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies hosted a career guidance session on 29/01/2020. The session was solely aimed for the final year Psychology students to have a deeper knowledge about different career opportunities in Psychology.
The programme started at 10:30am with Ms Christina Mariam Chacko (Assistant professor, YIMS) welcoming the gathering, followed by the presidential address by Rev. Dr. Mathew George Vazhayil (Director, YIMS). After that the inauguration and lamp lighting ceremony was conducted.
The inaugural address was presented by Mohammed Riyas M. (Chief Psychologist and Career Coach, vLead Eduventures, Kozhikode). The felicitation was rendered by Rev. Dr. Lalu Olikkal (Vice principal, YIMS) and Mr. Jith George (HOD, Dept. of Psychology). The vote of thanks was presented by Ms Fathima Najiya (2nd BSc Psychology).
The session by the resource person began at 11am. The session was presented very well and it helped the students have a broader knowledge regarding the paths in Psychology. The session was wrapped up by 12:30.
