The Department of Hindi is very much proud to present the report on Diwali Celebration 2020. Diwali is the festival of lights which symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. We conducted online Rangoli Competition from 14.11.2020 to 17.11.2020. The theme given for Rangoli was “Traditions of India”. The participants were instructed to make the Rangoli art with the measurement of 3ft x 3ft.The participants were asked to use Rangoli colour powder/Grains/Pulses as the medium to create an artistic Rangoli.The last date given for registration was on 13-11-2020.The participants were asked to send a 30 second video of Rangoli making and a vivid image of Rangoli along with their chest numbers.We were surprised to have good response from the students, and it was really eye-catching to see the artistic ability of the students. First prize was shared between ARCHANA ANAND ( I Bcom FINANCE) and NAIR AATHIRA GOKULDAS (III BBA). Second prize was secured by SREELAKSHMI M.S (I BCA). ARATHY.P (II BA ENGLISH) won the third prize. The Diwali celebration was a grand success even through the on line mode of conduct.
