The PG Department of English Language and Literature, YIMS, in association with IQAC, organised “Under the Canopy: Weekly Dialogues” on 3 September 2026 at Paithrikam, Bodhi Library, exploring “Gen Z on Screen: Navigating the Analog-Digital Divide in Contemporary Indian Cinema.” The event featured opening remarks by Dr. Krishna Praveen and introductory insights from Principal Dr. Tomy Antony, coordinated by Assistant Professors Dr. Swethal Ramchandran and Ms. Pooja Krishnan R, and moderated by Vaishnavi C (II MA English). Students actively engaged in a vibrant discussion on changing cinematic experiences, OTT platforms, social media, and youth representation in Indian film, before the event concluded with closing remarks by Vice Principal Rev. Dr. Joseph Olikkalkoonal.
