The Department of Management, Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies (YIMS), Mundur, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organised an insightful session on “Incubation Opportunities and Challenges” for BBA Honours students on August 21, 2026, at the Physics Lab, YIMS.
The session aimed to familiarise students with the concept of business incubation, its significance in fostering entrepreneurship, and the various opportunities and challenges involved in transforming innovative ideas into successful business ventures.
The programme featured Mr. Ajil K Antony, Head of the Department of Physics, Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies, as the resource person. He shared valuable insights into the importance of innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, institutional support systems, and the role of incubation in nurturing emerging business ideas.
The session provided students with an opportunity to understand the importance of creativity, innovation, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial initiatives in today’s competitive business environment. It also highlighted the relevance of incubation support in helping aspiring entrepreneurs overcome challenges and develop sustainable business ventures.
The programme was organised under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Mathew George Vazhavil, Head of the Institution, and Dr. Tomy Antony, Principal and President of the Institution’s Innovation Council, along with Rev. Dr. Lino Stephen Emmatty, Assistant Director and Vice President of IIC, and Ms. Shilpa S Kumar, IIC Convenor.
The programme coordination was undertaken by Ms. Akhila Gopi S and Dr. Joseph Varghese, IIC Department Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Department of Management.
