PG Department of Commerce, Section B.Com CA, in association with IQAC of Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies, Ezhakkad, Mundur, organised an engaging session under the Certificate Course on “Indian Financial System.” The session on “Introduction to Financial Derivatives” was handled by Ms. Reshma U, PG Coordinator, Department of Commerce, on October 17, 2025, at the III B.Com CA classroom. The session explained the concept, types, and role of financial derivatives in managing risks, helping students understand their growing relevance in the modern financial market. It also highlighted the significance of derivative instruments in stabilising market fluctuations and supporting strategic investment decisions. Students actively participated in the discussion, sharing their views and queries related to the topic. The session proved to be informative and insightful, enhancing their overall understanding of the financial system.
