On 12 January 2026, in connection with National Youth Day and the 164th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the IIC and NSS Units of Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies (YIMS) organized a nationwide youth outreach programme titled “Run for Swadeshi (Swadeshi Sankalp Run)”. The programme aimed to promote Swami Vivekananda’s ideals, the spirit of Swadeshi and Atmanirbhar Bharat, along with youth empowerment, discipline, physical fitness, and national responsibility. The event featured a 2 km Swadeshi Run, was inaugurated by Dr. Lino Stephan Emmaty, Assistant Director and Placement Training Officer, YIMS, and included a motivational talk by Dr. Keerthi M. S., Head, PG Department of Commerce and Youth Club Advisor, with active participation from students.
