In observance of International Forest Day, NSS Units 271 and 342 of YIMS, Mundur in association with Mundur Section Forest Office, Kerala Forest Department organized an awareness session led by Deputy Director Manoj Balakrishnan, Wildlife Education, Wildlife Circle, Palakkad on 21st March 2026 at Section Forest Office, Mundur. The session focused on the theme “Forest & Economics” and this initiative aimed to bridge the gap between ecological conservation and sustainable financial development. The programme was inaugurated by Krishna Das K R, Range Forest Officer, Olavakode Range. Rev. Dr. Joseph Olikkalkoonal presided over the programme. NSS Programme Officers Mr. Midhun M and Ms. Hema S offered felicitations. Participants took a formal Oath highlighting the critical importance of forests in maintaining environmental stability and providing the essential resources necessary for the survival and prosperity of future generation.
