“Dramatis Arcanum”: One Day Theatre Workshop

The PG Department of English Language and Literature at Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies (YIMS), in association with Janabheri School of Arts and Performance Studies, organised a one-day theatre workshop titled “Dramatis Arcanum” on 27 March 2026 at Yuvachethana Hall, with Dr. Abhimanyu V, Theatre Practitioner from Janabheri School of Arts and Performance Studies (a cultural institute aided by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India), as the resource person. The programme commenced at 10:00 a.m. with a prayer, followed by the welcome address delivered by Ms. Pameela Johnson, HoD, PG Department of English, and the presidential address by Rev. Dr. Joseph Olikkalkoonal, Vice Principal, YIMS. The inaugural session included lamp lighting, the inaugural address, and the honouring of the guest, along with the release of the International conference proceedings titled Embodied Expressions: The Performative Turn and a poetry anthology titled, My Run Away, authored by a PG student. The event also featured theatre performances by I MA and II MA English students, followed by evaluation sessions. The workshop led by Dr. Abhimanyu V provided participants with valuable practical insights into theatre and performance. The programme concluded with student feedback and the national anthem, making it a meaningful and enriching experience for all attendees.
