On 14 July 2026, the PG Department of English Language and Literature, in association with the IQAC, organized a Knowledge Extension Programme titled DLECT Lecture Series I at KPRP Higher Secondary School, Kongad, under the theme Mastering English Communication for Academic and Career Success.
Led by student resource persons Vaishnavi C and Sooraj J (II MA English), the session introduced high school students to practical modules focusing on structural grammar concepts, correct syntax, tenses, and common error correction. The lecture encouraged students to develop core language competencies, overcome public speaking anxieties, and improve their everyday communication skills for academic and career growth.
The event received enthusiastic participation, with students actively engaging in interactive language drills and communicative activities. The programme successfully promoted structural grammar awareness, conversational confidence, and peer-led academic mentoring, with highly positive feedback collected from the participants.
