Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies bid adieu to its graduating students with a heartfelt farewell program, ADIEU2024, held at Christ Hill Square on the 2nd of March, 2024. The event commenced at 10:00 AM with a prayer led by Vaishnavi from the Department of English. Reverend Dr. Joseph Olikkalkoonal, Vice Principal of YIMS, extended a warm welcome to all attendees, followed by the presidential address delivered by Dr. Tomy Antony, the Principal. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was conducted, symbolizing the enlightenment of knowledge, with an inaugural address by Reverend Dr. Mathew George Vazhayil, Director of YIMS.
The felicitation segment honored distinguished individuals including Rev. Fr. Shaju Angeveettil, Rev. Dr. Lino Stephen Emmatty, Rev. Fr. Nidhin Maniyankerikalam, Dr. Raneela P (HOD, Dept. of Chemistry), and Bhavyasree Baburaj T (Chairperson, College Union). Dr. Tomy Antony administered the farewell oath, marking the transition of the outgoing students into the professional realm. while the best outgoing students from each department were recognized and awarded by the delegates for their outstanding achievements.
Highlighting the achievements of the departing students, Nikhil Krishna, Sreelakshmi S, and Kavya Nair delivered eloquent reply speeches representing their respective departments. Dr. Matilda Danny, HOD of the PG Department of Commerce, conveyed gratitude in her vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all involved in organizing the event.
The program also featured captivating performances, including a dance performance by Swetha & Team and a musical dedication to the outgoing students by Sivani & Team. The event concluded on a patriotic note with the rendition of the National Anthem, leaving an indelible mark on the memories of all present, as they bid farewell to the departing students and wished them success in their future endeavors.
