The Department of Management of Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies (YIMS), Mundur, Palakkad, organised an awareness programme on “Cyber Security – The Law Need to Know” for BBA Honours students on 8 October 2026 at the I BBA Classroom.
The programme aimed to create awareness among students about cyber security, cybercrime, legal provisions and the importance of responsible digital practices in today’s technology-driven world.
The session was led by Mr. Raja Narayanan, Sub Inspector of Police, Kongad Police Station, Palakkad, who served as the resource person. He highlighted the growing challenges in cyberspace, various forms of cybercrime, legal measures to address cyber threats and the importance of staying vigilant while using digital platforms. The session also helped students understand the legal responsibilities of internet users and the need to adopt safe and responsible online practices.
The programme provided an informative and valuable learning experience, encouraging students to become more aware, responsible and security-conscious digital citizens.
The programme was organised under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Mathew George Vazhavil, Director, YIMS; Dr. Tomy Antony, Principal; Rev. Dr. Joseph OlikkalKoonal, Vice Principal; Rev. Fr. Shyju Pariyath, Vice Principal; Dr. Reneela P, IQAC Coordinator; and Dr. Ramya J, Head of the Department of Management.
Ms. Akhila Gopi S, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, YIMS, coordinated the programme.
