Empowering Young Minds to Innovate, Entrepreneur and Lead
The Department of Management, Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies (YIMS), Ezhakkad, Mundur, Palakkad, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education Initiative, organised an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Outreach Programme for Higher Secondary (+2) students at Mundur Higher Secondary School, Palakkad, on 18 August 2026.
The programme aimed to create awareness among young students about innovation, creativity, entrepreneurial thinking and the importance of developing an entrepreneurial mindset at an early stage. It also sought to motivate students to identify opportunities, generate innovative ideas and transform their ideas into practical solutions.
The outreach initiative provided an opportunity for students to understand the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including idea generation, planning, problem-solving, innovation and action-oriented thinking. The programme highlighted the importance of creativity, confidence, leadership and entrepreneurial skills in shaping future careers and contributing to society.
The sessions were handled by student resource persons from the Department of Management, YIMS:

- Ms. Sreya V S – II BBA
The programme was organised under the guidance of Rev. Dr. Mathew George Vazhayi, Head of Institution, YIMS, and Dr. Tomy Antony, Principal and IIC President, YIMS.
The organising committee included Rev. Dr. Lino Stephen Emmatty, Assistant Director and IIC Vice President, YIMS; Ms. Shilpa S Kumar, IIC Convenor, YIMS; and Dr. Ramya J, Head of the Department of Management, YIMS.
The programme committee was coordinated by Ms. Sujatha A, HSST, Junior Commerce, Mundur HSS, with the support of Ms. Renjitha B and Dr. Joseph Varghese, IIC Department Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Department of Management, YIMS.
The outreach programme reflected YIMS’s continued commitment to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and experiential learning beyond the classroom. Through such initiatives, the institution aims to nurture young minds, encourage creative thinking and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders.
