Yuvakshetra Institute of Management Studies celebrated its annual literary event with the successful College Magazine Release of the academic year 2024-2025 on 25 August 2025. Mr. Pranavam Sasi, the renowned folk artist and playback singer was the chief guest of the programme. Venue for the College Magazine Release was Christ Hill Square and the event was emceed by Aleesha Thomas of II B.Com Taxation. The programme began at 1.30 PM with prayer sung by Navaneeth Krishna M P from III HM CS. Ms. Hema S, Staff Editor, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Tomy Antony, Principal, YIMS. Rev. Dr. Mathew George Vazhayil, Director, YIMS gave the keynote address for the programme. College Magazine Kumilakal was officially released by Mr. Pranavam Sasi. Rev. Dr. Lino Stephen Emmatty, Assistant Director, YIMS provided a detailed introduction regarding the magazine to the audience. The Chief Guest, Mr. Pranavam Sasi, with his presence and insightful words shared valuable experiences and perspectives that inspired the audience, contributing significantly to the ceremony’s success. He motivated students to pursue their creative passions. Rev. Dr. Joseph Olikkalkoonal, Vice Principal, YIMS offered felicitation for the programme. Megha R, Student Editor, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks for the event. The Chief Guest, Mr. Pranavam Sasi, made the event impressive with his captivating musical performance. He presented his songs with great passion and artistry, showcasing his deep connection to folk traditions, accompanied by his powerful voice and stage presence. His performance was widely appreciated by each and everyone and it left a lasting impression on the audience. The programme finally concluded with the National Anthem. Kumilakal features various creative expressions, including poetry, prose, essays, paintings, illustrations and cartoons. This magazine also aims to convey notions of fragility, independence and rapid expression, with each work emerging from silence to deliver a powerful message. The creation of Kumilakal was the result of tireless efforts of the editorial team and the significant representation of the thought and talent prevalent among the students.
