The Alumni Meet of YIMS was successfully conducted on 26th January 2026 at CH Square, commencing at 10:30 a.m. The programme was organized with the objective of strengthening the bond between the institution and its alumni while celebrating their achievements and contributions. The event was gracefully compered by Ms. Aysha (3rd B.Sc Psychology) and Ms. Anusha (1st M.Sc Psychology). The first session featured a vibrant cultural programme, showcasing the talents of current students, followed by the screening of a YIMS Alumni Video Presentation, which evoked nostalgic memories and highlighted the inspiring journeys of former students. This session set a warm and engaging tone for the day’s proceedings.
The Inaugural Session began at 11:30 a.m. with a prayer, invoking blessings for the success of the programme. Ms. Meena Jose Komban, Alumni Coordinator of YIMS, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of alumni as lifelong stakeholders of the institution. The event report was presented by Rev. Dr. Joseph Olikkalkoonal, Vice Principal, YIMS, who highlighted recent institutional developments and alumni involvement. The Presidential Address by Dr. Tomy Antony, Principal, YIMS, underscored the pivotal role alumni play in mentoring students and contributing to institutional growth. The ceremonial lamp lighting marked the formal inauguration, and the Inaugural Address were delivered by Rev. Dr. Mathew George Vazhayil, Director, YIMS, who highlighted the importance of alumni engagement in strengthening institutional values, social commitment, and future-oriented growth. followed by a felicitation address by Rev. Dr. Lino Stephen Emmatty. A special highlight of the session was the release of the “Vandhe Mathram” photo frame and the distribution of financial support for the medical treatment of Alan B. Nair (1 BCA – A Batch), reflecting the strong sense of social responsibility within the alumni community. The session also included an Open Hour and Alumni Association Election, appreciation of alumni achievements, felicitation of newly married alumni couples, and the book release by Commerce Department alumni. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Akshay Vishwanath A, Secretary, Alumni Association YIMS, followed by the National Anthem.
The final session of the day featured a friendly match between YIMS Alumni and the YIMS student team, held from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The match fostered camaraderie, sportsmanship, and joyful interaction between past and present members of the institution. Overall, the Alumni Meet 2026 was a memorable and meaningful event that strengthened alumni relations, celebrated achievements, and reinforced the collective commitment of alumni and the institution toward mutual growth and social responsibility. The programme concluded on a high note, leaving participants with a renewed sense of pride and belonging to the YIMS community.
