NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON READING THE TIME AND SPACE OF EVERYDAY LIFE
AUGUST 27, 2019
Venue: Symphony Auditorium
Resource Person for the Event
Dr. Priya K Nair
Assistant Professor, Department of English
St. Teresa’s College, Cochin
About The Department
Language, being skill oriented, can be learned only by practising the four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. In Yuvakshetra, the Department of English caters to this need of the students through various activities. The basic structure of the language is imparted to the students through the language development programme of the college. Based on the academic needs, extension lectures are arranged. The creativity of the students is enhanced by providing them an opportunity to bring out a newspaper of their own, utilizing the facilities of the campus. In order to update the recent advancements in the research field, the department gives importance to seminars and symposia. We encourage our students to prepare academic papers and equip themselves to present the same.
