The Department of English at Yuvakshetra College celebrated the reading week in a magnificent style in connection with the Reading Day which we observed on June 19. The Department organized a series of infotainment competitions for the students on 18,19,20 and 22 June in the campus. The programmes include poetry recitation and book review presentation in English, Hindi and Malayalam languages which were open to all the students and précis writing and literary quiz which were restricted to the students of the Department of English only. Every event turned out to be a huge success with the active participation and involvement of the students. The organizers believe that the reading week programmes were effective enough to attain the proposed aim of generating love for books and genuine interest towards reading among the young Yuvakshetrians.
